Ruth Chapman RIP
Ruth Chapman (Wife of Ken Chapman and Sandy Reed’s Mum) died recently after suffering with Terminal Cancer for the past 5 months. For the last 7 weeks she was completely bed bound. On the 11th June she was taken into Northwick Park Hospital and passed away in the early hours of the 12th June with Sandy by her side. Her funeral will take place on Wednesday, 30th June 2010 at 12pm at Breakspear Crematorium in the East Chapel. It will be followed by Refreshments at The Plough Beefeater, Bury Street, Ruislip (please let Sandy know if you are attending). Sandy and family thank everyone for their cards, words, prayers and support. Your continued prayers would be appreciated in the coming challenging months.
We (as a church) have lost several members of our Church family recently but our Christian love binds us together. In Christ, Love Sandy x
FUNERAL OF DAVID PERRY will be on Thursday, 1st July 2010 at11am at St. Josephs. I know he would love as many of you there as possible to share his last 'service' with him and his family. You are warmly invited to join us after the church service at ROYAL NAVAL ASSOCIATION CLUB, LONG LANE, HILLINGDON (opposite old Master Brewer and at the back of the Health Centre). There will be a short committal service at Breakspear Crematorium for family. Arrival at RNA club from 12.30pm. I am so truly blessed by you all, my Church family, as my home is full of cards and flowers from so many of you and I treasure each word written.

Thank you to all our friends for your flowers and donations to Meadow House Hospice in memory of Bob. Thank you also to those who were able to attend Bob’s funeral, it was very much appreciated.

Household items for sale
As we prepare to move to New Zealand we will be selling a number of items, including electrical 'white goods', a motor mower, wicker storage baskets and garden equipment. If you are interested in having the list of what we're selling, please speak to Simon or Lizzi Winn
Steve and Caroline's Ordination
We would love for people to come to our Ordination. It takes place at St Paul's Cathedral on 3 July. Doors open at 2, but you might want to get there a bit earlier to make sure of a good seat. St Joseph's has been very special to us and we'd love you to come and share the day with us. After the service please say hello to us and if you are able to, Steve invites you to pop in for a drink and some food at The Saint in Paternoster Square, right next to the cathedral
Travel to the St Paul's Ordination Service: If you would like to travel together as a group to St Paul's on Saturday 3rd July, please meet at 1pm in the ticket hall of Northolt tube station. See you there! Ray Johnson
Prayers for our Ordinands
Please pray for Steve Morris and Caroline Newbold who are being ordained as Deacons on Saturday July 3rd, by the Bishop of London, to serve as curates at St Stephen’s, Ealing and St Matthew’s, Yiewsley respectively, and for our recent summer placement student Martin Allwood, being ordained Deacon today June 27th by the Bishop of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, to serve as curate in the Hundred River and Wainford benefice near Beccles in Suffolk. Also Toby Crowe, our former parish assistant, being ordained as a priest by the Bishop of Willesden on Saturday July 3rd.
Day Visitors to New Wine
We have been offered some free day tickets to the New Wine week, which runs from July 24th-30th at Shepton Mallet, Somerset. If some people are interested in visiting for worship, teaching and fellowship with the St Joseph’s group attending, please see Chris Hill or Simon.
SING Summer Activities
We wanted to update everyone about what is being planned for Soul in Northolt and Greenford summer activities weeks. Our main 'Soul' Week will be on the week beginning 9th August. We have a week of dance, sports, crafts and other activities planned such as birds of prey, circus skills and drum workshops.
This year for the first time we are planning to provide something every week during August. Based on requests from the young people, we are also running a Film Week on the week beginning 2nd August, Girls Only Week of fashion, self defence and modelling beginning the 16th August and Lads Only Week from the 23rd with big boy's toys & rugby. We are looking forward to these activities and hope that you will enjoy being a part of them in many ways. Look out for more information in the coming months. Chris
A Message from the Newbold family
Pam Newbold died peacefully on Sunday 13th June. Her funeral will take place on Monday 28th June at 11am here at St Joseph’s Church – there is no need to wear black. Family flowers only, but should you wish to make a donation in Pam’s memory there will be a collection on the day to be divided between the British Heart Foundation and Macmillan Cancer Relief Steve Newbold

100 Club Renewal deadline 31st of July
Please note, in order to avoid complexity with renewal no new applications will be accepted after this date. The new year begins on the first Sunday in August with subsequent Prize Draws on the first Sunday of each month. First Prize £15 and Second Prize £10. Twelve opportunities to win. The 100 Club is part of our drive to raise £10k internally towards the £2.8m required to refurbish our church. The renewal / application forms are available in the Dovetail Centre. It is hoped that all existing members will renew their membership. Subscription is £12 a year. We need 100 members. If you are not a member but would like to support our fundraising then please complete the application form and return it by 31 July deadline. Friends and families may also join.
