Notices for this week 18th July 2010
A Prayer for our shared mission and ministry
Draw your Church together, O God, into one great company of disciples,
together following our Lord Jesus Christ into every walk of life,
together serving him in His mission to the world,
and together witnessing to His love on every continent and island. Amen
(A New Zealand Prayer Book, 1989)
During the summer holidays our Sunday Parish Eucharist will be a shorter all age service, and our theme is the Parables Jesus Told. Here are the parables. Why not read them in advance each week, with your children, and discuss them, to enable you to engage more deeply with the preacher's message?

Sunday August 1st 2. Parable of the Talents Matthew 25: 14-30
Sunday August 8th 3. Parable of the Mustard Seed and Yeast Matthew 13: 31-33

New Wine week
From Saturday for a week, a group of more than 20 St Joseph's members of all ages are camping with 10,000 other Christians at Shepton Mallet in Somerset, and enjoying the annual visit to New Wine London and South East week. There is awesome worship and inspiring Christian teaching, relevant seminars, fantastic children's and youth work, late night entertainment and cafés etc, and lots of time to relax. Please pray for us all, that we go deeper with God in the power of his Holy Spirit and are renewed and refreshed to serve Jesus better.
Have a look at http://www.new-wine.org/ for more information.
St Josephs Dovetail Project Fundraising Summary (2 Aug 2009 to 19 June 2010)
Total raised to date ££3,760.34. This has been our first year in our objective to raise £10,000 over a 3 year period as our contribution towards our building refurbishment project. The project will cost £2.8m in total, but we will have a new fabulous church building in which to worship and serve the community. A big thank you to all who have contributed to our fundraising drive. The 100 Club is also a part of the fundraising and everyone is urged to participate. It is hoped that the next round of fundraising activities will commence in the Autumn, so watch this space. If you have any ideas please speak to Randolph Reid, Susan Duah or Audrey Fleischer.
Once again, many thanks to everyone for their contribution. The Fundraising Team.

To all our church family
Ran and I would like to thank you all for attending our wedding day last Saturday. It was so wonderful to see so many of you come to support us, more so it was wonderful to know that you continued to pray for us for the day to go smoothly. My apologies for a long delay in my arrival, as the bride it was not intentional. Believe me the situation was beyond my control, so much that when I got to church I was hyperventilating and my nerves were all over the place. I started to feel better when the music started. Many thanks to Hilary and the music group and of course to Chris Hill, my goodness, you played that instrument so amazingly; the music was uplifting and so many people have been telling me about how good the music was. People have also been talking of how good a church people we are and how bright St Joseph’s is inside. (well minus the heat on the day!)
Many of you have been asking if I am moving to the States right away, not at the moment. But definitely in the very near future I will go and join my husband. Ran and I would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts, you made our day so special and we hope you enjoyed the day as well! May God Bless you all.

Love Justice
Take our lives Lord, take our moments and our days
We offer them to you, we offer them in ceaseless praise
Take our hands Lord, take our feet and let them be
A sacrifice to you, a sacrifice for those in need
Pre-Chorus:
Take our love Lord, take our silver and our gold
And we pray to see your kingdom in this world
Chorus:
We will love justice, show mercy, walk humbly with our God
We will love justice, show mercy, walk humbly with our God
We will love justice, show mercy, walk humbly with our God
We will love justice, show mercy, walk humbly with our God
Bridge:
Justice, mercy, humbly with our God
Justice, mercy, humbly with our God
Everlasting God
Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord, we will wait upon the Lord (x 2)
Our God, You reign forever
Our hope, our strong deliverer ...
You are the everlasting God, the everlasting God
You do not faint, You won't grow weary
You're the defender of the weak, You comfort those in need
You lift us up on wings like eagles
