Christmas is for All God’s Children!

Christmas focuses on a kid, born in a stable, who has changed the course of history. But Christmas isn’t just for the children and the Christian faith is for people of all ages and races.
John, an early Christian, whose letters are in the New Testament of the Bible, writes, “See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and that is what we are.”
Many millions globally follow Jesus and know themselves to be loved as God’s children.
We are open every day of the week at St Joseph’s and the Dovetail Centre, and we invite you and your family to come and join us for worship, or at one of the activities on offer here for people whatever their age or race or faith.

You are welcome to our Christmas services or just to pop in to chat, to light a candle or for some quiet space away from the busyness of everyday life.

SUNDAY DECEMBER 20th 2009
3pm “Joy to the World”
Get into the Christmas spirit with readings, and carols at our ‘Afternoon Praise’ special service. Duration: 45 minutes, followed by a festive feast of tea, coffee and cakes.
40 minutes’ duration, followed by tea and cakes

CHRISTMAS EVE THURSDAY DECEMBER 24th
4pm-4.45pm Children’s Nativity Service
Come and help tell the Christmas story!
Children: come dressed as angels, shepherds or wise men, and sing your favourite carols. Free festive refreshments after the service.

11pm Midnight Mass and Blessing of the Crib with Christmas Carols
Carols, candles, a short sermon and the blessing of the Christmas Crib as we celebrate the dawning of Christ-mass, the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ, Emmanuel, God-with-us. Duration: 90 minutes

CHRISTMAS DAY FRIDAY DECEMBER 25th: JESUS’ BIRTHDAY

10am Family Communion Service for all ages. Duration: 60 minutes
